Sharon Kleyne Says Beware Summer Eye Strain & Dry Eye Stress

24 Jul

Sharon Kleyne Tells Readers ‘Don’t Forget To Drink Enough Water’. Rest Is Essential for Reducing Stress and Rejuvenating Tired Eyes.

Summer is a time of relaxation and extra family connections, of barbecues and vacations, but it can also be a time of great stress and eye problems. Sharon Kleyne, host of the nationally syndicated The Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water, Global Climate Change and Your Health radio program sponsored by Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® on VoiceAmerica, has been teaching listeners for years that eye strain and dry eye disease symptoms cause stress and anxiety and too often result in even more serious vision problems. For example, according to Kleyne, too much stress can cause the tear film in the eyes to lose water via accelerated evaporation and become dehydrated.

Kleyne, founder of Bio-Logic Aqua® Research Water Life Science®, says that the situation has never been so bad. “Direct sunlight and the heat are punishing eyes,” says Kleyne, “and nowadays so many people spend hours and hours texting, watching television, playing video games and working on computers. You see people everywhere with red, swollen and bleary eyes,” says Kleyne. “You can see the stress and anxiety literally etched on their faces.”

Kleyne and her research center specializing in supplementing the evaporation of body water and earth’s water vapor developed and patented its signature product, Nature’s Tears® EyeMist®. Consisting of Trade Secret tissue culture grade fresh water with no additives and applied to the eyes as a patented fine mist from a hand-held, portable personal humidifier, the product painlessly and instantly soothes the eye and eye film. That tear film, by the way, is naturally 99% water.

The eye/stress connection, according to Kleyne, has to do with the fact that the eyes are very close to the brain and the two are “hard-wired” together. Any trauma to the brain will affect the eyes and vice-versa. Many emotions affect the eyes, including sadness, joy, depression and stress. Kleyne’s research has discovered that prisoners and people who are emotionally unstable tend to have more vision problems than those who are more stress-free.

Dry eye complaints tend to be very bad in summer because of the higher heat and more time spent exposed to air conditioning. Indoor air tends to have lower water vapor content. The loss of tear film moisture to evaporation triggers numerous hormonal responses in the eyes, including an inflammatory reaction and a threat alert.

To avoid stress and irritation issues, Kleyne suggests wearing good sunglasses when outside. She also recommends setting a limit to the number of hours you work on computer or text or watch TV. Kleyne believes that by being proactive about your eye health, you can greatly reduce your stress.

To avoid dry eyes, eye strain and associated stress, Kleyne also recommends drinking at least eight to ten full glasses of water each day, in addition to all other fluid intake. If you begin to feel stress, or your eyes feel uncomfortable, a soothing, all-natural, pH balanced fresh water mist such as Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® will quickly supplement the tear film’s water content and alleviate tear film dehydration and dry eye complaints.

Sharon Kleyne’s Summer Tips For Happy Healthy Eyes

28 Jun

Summer Brutality Threatens Eye Comfort and Eyesight. Kleyne Knows How To Stop Summer Eye Abuse.

If you are Tarzan of the Apes or Aqua Man, you can disregard the following advice. But since none of us really are these admirable characters, you would all do well to listen carefully and learn. What’s at stake? Oh, only the well-being of your eyes; only your eyesight.

Sharon Kleyne, host of the nationally syndicated radio program, The Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water, Global Climate Change and Your Health on VoiceAmerica sponsored by Nature’s Tears® EyeMist®, wants you to become proactive about your eyesight and eye health and she has some tips she wants you to keep in mind while you enjoy your summer adventures and vacations.

Why is Kleyne worried? She’s concerned because she knows that the summer season can be absolutely brutal on your eyes. For decades, Kleyne has been teaching citizens of the world about evaporation of body water vapor and evaporation of water in the atmosphere. “We need that water in the atmosphere to breathe,” says Kleyne “and we need to supplement our body water vapor several times a day to replenish the water we need in our body and in our eyes.”

In summer as temperatures skyrocket and evaporation increases, there are some things one can do to compensate and protect one’s eyes.

One thing you can do is consider wearing a broad-brimmed hat. You can also wear sunglasses, but choose the kind that blocks 100% of UV rays. Polarized lenses reduce the intensity of the reflections that will assault you off of bodies of water, cars, windows, cement and other surfaces. People spend lots of time in water swimming or wading during the summer. These activities expose them to chemicals in pools and dangerous bacteria in oceans, lakes, rivers and ponds. Everyone heading for water would be wise to wear swim goggles with polarized lenses.

Remember that the peak times for the sun in summer can stretch from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. It’s during this period that the sun’s UV rays are most powerful. Use the accessories mentioned above and apply Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® several times a day to your eyes (remove your glasses or goggles first). Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® was developed in Kleyne’s research center at Bio-Logic Aqua® Water Life Science® and is a new water technology like nothing else on the planet.

Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® consists of Trade Secret tissue culture grade water, with no chemicals or additives, that supplements your eyes and staves off the arrival and advancement of dry eye disease. One applies Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® as a micron size mist (not drops!) by way of a globally patented personal hand-held humidifier. This humidifier is a delight to use and the micron size mist is so refreshing and effective! Even children love it. Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® may also be used with conventional eye drops if you choose to do so. Just apply Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® first, then the drops. Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® is available on line at Walgreens and Amazon.com

Watch Out for Eye Dehydration During Summer Heat Wave

19 Jul

During a summer heat wave, warns Natures Tears® EyeMist® inventor and Bio-Logic Aqua Research Founder Sharon Kleyne, the eyes are especially vulnerable to dehydration or loss of surface water. The ability to recognize, prevent and treat dehydration of the eyes, sometimes called  “summer dry eye,” could prevent much discomfort and possibly save one’s eyesight. .

The surface of the eye at the cornea is 98% water. When the amount of ocular surface water, which is mostly contained in the “basal tear film,” begins to drop, either from evaporation or poor tear production, the results are dehydration and dry eye complaints. When eyes are exposed to high temperatures, low humidity, and intense sunlight, the tear film water protecting the eyes and enabling sight evaporates faster than at other times.

Tear film dehydration and dry eye can cause eye discomfort, water eyes, dry eyes, itching eyes, burning eyes, fatigue, headaches, blurred vision and many other symptoms. Too little tear film water, among other things, stimulates the production of inflammatory hormones in the tear film, causing inflammation and discomfort.

Summer is also allergy season, with dramatic increases in airborne pollen. When the eyes’ natural defenses against allergies and pollen are diminished due to insufficient tear film water and the presence of inflammatory hormones, the allergic reaction to pollen will be greater.

Dry eye and dehydration caused by a summer heat wave and intense sunlight can be minimized or avoided by drinking eight glasses of water per day in addition to other fluids, wearing sunglasses, taking frequent cool showers and baths, avoiding direct sunlight, keeping your home humidified, and replacing water and salt when you become overheated.

A quick and easy method of supplementing lost tear film water and alleviating dry eye complaints during a summer heat wave is to carry Natures Tears® EyeMist® from Bio-Logic Aqua Research with you and apply it frequently. Natures Tears® EyeMist® is a personal hand-held humidifying device that instantly relieves dry eye and allergy eye complaints. Because Natures Tears® EyeMist® is 100% safe, the product maybe applied whenever dry eye or allergy eye discomfort are experienced. Natures Tears® EyeMist® is compatible with all other eye applications
