Dry Eye Disease & Blindness

Sharon Kleyne Hails Allergen’s See America Campaign. Water Life Science® Advocate Sharon Kleyne Explores Dry Eye & Blindness.

Sharon Kleyne, host of the nationally syndicated radio program, The Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water, Global Climate Change and Your Health on Voice America and founder of Bio-Logic Aqua® Research Water Life Science®, wants you to know that every four minutes, one American will suffer partial or complete blindness. “One every four minutes!” Kleyne repeats with emphasis. “That is unacceptable.”

Sharon Kleyne, though, is heartened to see that Allergan, in the business of eye care for seventy years, announced in the Wall Street Journal the launch of its new project, See America, which is aimed at educating people about their vision. “Currently,” Allergan claims, “61 million Americans—more than the populations of California and Florida combined—are at risk of severe vision loss. Yet, only half of those people visited an eye doctor last year.”

“This is exactly the kind of education program we need,” says Kleyne, who praises Allergan’s history of research and eye care technology. “Allergan has spent billions,” says Kleyne, “on preventing eye conditions that include diabetic macular edema, glaucoma and dry eye disease. Allergan also supports the research and product development of more than 150 companies worldwide,” Kleyne adds, “in efforts to improve eye health around the world.”

Sharon Kleyne also embraces the September 2016 national call-to-action by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine to end blindness in America by 2030.

Sharon Kleyne, America’s leading water educator and researcher, educates people about dry eye disease and the havoc it creates. “Dry eye disease afflicts more than 250,000 Americans each year,” Kleyne says. “400,000 Chinese battle dry eye disease annually. The dry eye industry is costing more than a billion dollars a year, and it sometimes leads to blindness.”

Dry eye disease symptoms include itching, blurring, burning, irritation, eyestrain, headache, and/or a ‘grainy’ sensation. The ultimate cause of dry eye disease is over-concentration of salt (electrolyte) due to moisture (water) loss in the tear film’s aqueous layer. This moisture loss is a result of dehydration caused by evaporation of the tear film’s water vapor. When moisture is depleted, electrolyte and other substances become over-concentrated and discomfort results.

Sharon Kleyne says that researchers like herself has long known that the simplest and most natural way to soothe dry, puffy and irritated eyes is to add two-to-five-billionths of a liter of moisture (water) to the eye’s aqueous layer. Bio-Logic Aqua® Research Water Life Science® has developed a system that emulates the air’s natural humidity by applying moisture as an ultra-fine, pH-balanced (7.0) water mist around the face rather than in the eyes. The mist droplets penetrate the lipid layer like saddle soap penetrates a saddle: The oils part, the droplets pass, and the oil closes. This new hydrotherapy discovery, for the first time, enables individuals to take personal control of dry eye disease through a simple and safe daily (or even hourly) moisture supplementation process.

Sharon Kleyne says that saline solutions and popular eye drops do not really bring lasting relief to dry eyes. These products only trap moisture, they do not supplement or replenish it. Instead, Kleyne recommends her research center’s signature product, Natures Tears® EyeMist®. It’s the only product on the market that effectively supplements the eye’s tear film. Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® supplements the tear lens. Applying Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® is easy and fun! You apply it with a personal hand-held humidifying device emitting a pure, pH balanced, 100% Trade Secret tissue culture grade water in a patented micron mist.
